Ham Hock Soup

1 Ham Hock
1 tin Heinz Veggie Soup
2-3 Carrots
1/2 swede
potatoes
peas

Boil ham hock for 2.5 hours or so. Remove from water and allow to cool. Strip meat. Remove a couple of pints of the stock - it can always be added back if the soup is too thick (especially if kept overnight). Add the ham and vegetables (not the peas) into the stock and simmer for 1 hour or so until the vegetables are soft

Dumplings
200g SR flour
100g stork or some other vegetable shortening.
Enough water to bind.
