Tomorrow night's tea

I say to myself and everyone else that it's going to be simple. So I've only started cooking 28 hours before we're due to eat.

Starters - something on the grill with shrimp, involving chili, garlic and lime. I need to have a practise skewer tonight.

Fish - I was thwarted in my plans to grill halibut so it's cod, and I don't think it will stand up to the barbecue, so I'll do the pan roasting thing. Actually I could have a quick try with a small piece tonight - what a good idea.

As for the beef - I'm rubbing that with the post somewhere near this one.

In fact I think I need to do about four more posts - this one is just the precursor...
